Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming assistance to ensure patient hygiene and comfort.
- Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist patients with mobility issues, including transferring them from beds to wheelchairs or walking aids.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the nursing staff to update them on patient conditions and care plans.
- Prepare and serve meals to patients according to dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients and staff.
- Document patient care activities accurately and in a timely manner.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required in the state of Minnesota.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
- Previous experience in a hospital, nursing home, or home healthcare setting is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a compassionate demeanor.
- Ability to lift and move patients safely and adhere to proper body mechanics.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
