Responsibilities
- Monitor and record patient vital signs (temperature, blood pressure, pulse, respiration) accurately and in a timely manner.
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide emotional support and patient advocacy to ensure a comfortable stay.
- Document patient care plans, symptoms, and progress notes in electronic health records (EHR).
- Communicate effectively with the nursing staff, physicians, and families regarding patient status.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary patient environment at all times.
- Respond immediately to patient call lights and emergency situations.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license issued by the State of Tennessee.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and assist with patient mobility.
- Previous hospital experience is highly preferred but not always required.
- Compassionate demeanor with a strong attention to detail.
