Responsibilities
- Provide Direct Patient Care: Assist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting with dignity and respect.
- Monitor Vital Signs: Regularly check and record patient temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist with Mobility: Help patients move safely in and out of beds, wheelchairs, and stretchers, using proper body mechanics.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure holistic care.
- Record Keeping: Accurately document patient care activities and changes in condition in electronic health records.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to patient needs and emergencies following established protocols.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current Washington State CNA Certification (or eligibility to obtain).
- Licensure: Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Experience: Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting is preferred but not required for exceptional candidates.
- Skills: Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
