Responsibilities
- Perform routine vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration, for all patients.
- Assist providers with patient examinations, procedures, and minor medical treatments.
- Prepare examination rooms and sterilize medical instruments and equipment to ensure infection control standards.
- Administer medications and injections under the direct supervision of a licensed provider.
- Manage patient records accurately and efficiently using our EMR/EHR systems.
- Communicate clearly with patients regarding test results, treatment plans, and follow-up care instructions.
- Coordinate with front-office staff to ensure smooth patient flow and check-in/check-out processes.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Previous experience in a clinical setting is preferred, but new graduates with clinical externships are encouraged to apply.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills with a focus on patient empathy.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift patients or equipment as required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Electronic Health Records software.
- Attention to detail and ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
