Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, assisting with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, according to established protocols.
- Assist patients with mobility issues, using walkers, wheelchairs, or hoyer lifts safely and effectively.
- Communicate changes in patient conditions and symptoms to the Registered Nurse or medical team immediately.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitized patient environment to prevent infection and promote comfort.
- Prepare patients for meals and assist with feeding as necessary.
- Document patient care plans and progress notes accurately in electronic health records (EHR).
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license valid in the state of Florida.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with patients and families.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs frequently throughout the shift.
- Compassionate demeanor with a strong desire to help others.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care facility is preferred.
