Responsibilities
- Perform accurate patient intake, vitals monitoring, and medical history documentation.
- Assist physicians and nurses during examinations, procedures, and minor surgeries.
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms, ensuring all medical equipment is sanitized and functional.
- Perform basic laboratory tests, EKGs, and point-of-care testing as required.
- Manage patient flow efficiently to minimize wait times and ensure high-quality care.
- Handle confidential medical records and insurance billing inquiries with discretion.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) from an accredited institution.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or outpatient setting.
- Proficient in Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient empathy.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
