Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate assistance with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, and mobility
- Monitor and record vital signs, patient conditions, and report changes to nursing staff
- Assist with meal preparation and ensure patients' nutritional needs are met
- Support infection control protocols and maintain clean, safe patient environments
- Document patient care accurately and maintain confidential medical records
- Transport patients safely within the facility and to appointments as needed
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to coordinate patient care plans
Qualifications
- Valid California CNA certification in good standing
- Minimum 6 months of recent CNA experience in a clinical setting
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks
- Strong communication skills and empathy for elderly patients
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and infection control standards
- Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays
- Clear background check and drug screening required
