Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality direct patient care, including assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and accurately record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Administer medication and treatments as prescribed by the RN or LPN under supervision.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date, and confidential patient records and documentation.
- Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and the interdisciplinary care team to ensure holistic care.
- Ensure the patient environment is clean, safe, and therapeutic at all times.
- Assist with light housekeeping and meal preparation related to patient care.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered State of Michigan Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license.
- CPR/BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
- Previous experience in a home health or long-term care setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Compassionate, patient-focused attitude with a genuine desire to help others.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs when necessary.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
