Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, accurately and in a timely manner.
- Assist patients with mobility, transferring, and walking using proper body mechanics and safety equipment.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by licensed nursing staff, adhering to strict safety protocols.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment, ensuring infection control standards are met.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team to update them on patient status and concerns.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered CNA certification (Maryland State approved).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association is required.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting is preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to improve patient outcomes.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift patients as needed.
