Responsibilities
- <ul><li>Assist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.</li><li>Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse rates, accurately and in a timely manner.</li><li>Provide assistance with mobility, transfers, and ambulation using proper body mechanics and safety techniques.</li><li>Serve meals and assist residents with feeding as needed, ensuring dietary restrictions are respected.</li><li>Administer medication as directed by the RN, adhering to strict safety protocols and documentation standards.</li><li>Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment for residents, including light housekeeping duties in patient areas.</li><li>Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary care team to ensure holistic care.</li></ul>
Qualifications
- <ul><li>Current, unencumbered Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Texas required.</li><li>Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required.</li><li>Previous experience in long-term care, assisted living, or home health preferred but not required for the right candidate.</li><li>Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a genuine passion for patient advocacy.</li><li>Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs frequently throughout the shift.</li><li>Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts as required by the department.</li></ul>
