Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care including bathing, dressing, and feeding assistance as needed.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Assist patients with mobility issues, including walking and transferring from bed to wheelchair.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team regarding patient status and needs.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by licensed nursing staff.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment.
- Document all care provided in patient records accurately and in a timely manner.
Qualifications
- Current and active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Missouri.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred, especially in long-term care or home health.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift patients frequently throughout the shift.
- Compassionate demeanor with a strong focus on patient dignity and comfort.
