Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and feeding assistance, under the supervision of licensed nursing staff.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, and pulse, ensuring accuracy in all documentation.
- Assist with patient mobility and transfers, utilizing proper body mechanics to ensure safety for patients and staff.
- Communicate patient changes in condition, concerns, or requests to the Registered Nurse immediately.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary patient environment in accordance with infection control protocols.
- Support the interdisciplinary team in developing and implementing individualized care plans.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in good standing with the North Carolina Board of Nursing.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Ability to work weekends (Saturday & Sunday) and holiday shifts as required.
