Responsibilities
- Perform clinical duties including vital sign assessment, EKG, phlebotomy, and specimen collection
- Assist providers with patient examinations, procedures, and minor surgical preparations
- Administer medications and immunizations under provider supervision
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) and documentation
- Coordinate patient flow, rooming, and appointment scheduling
- Prepare exam rooms, sterilize equipment, and maintain inventory
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care delivery
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in hospital/urgent care setting
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic/EMR preferred)
- Strong phlebotomy and venipuncture skills
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Flexibility to work weekends and occasional holidays
