Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care including assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, accurately and in a timely manner.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and walking using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
- Communicate changes in patient condition, behavior, or response to treatment to the nursing staff and physicians.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment; ensure linens and equipment are sanitized.
- Document all patient care activities and shifts in the electronic medical record system.
Qualifications
- Current and active Indiana CNA License (CNA-I) required.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be current.
- Previous experience in a long-term care facility or hospital setting is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with patients and families.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and possess a compassionate demeanor.
