Responsibilities
- Perform patient vitals (blood pressure, temperature, weight) and record accurate data in Electronic Health Records (EHR).
- Greet patients, verify insurance information, and check them in for appointments with a welcoming demeanor.
- Prepare examination rooms with necessary medical instruments and supplies for provider visits.
- Assist physicians and nurses with clinical procedures, including phlebotomy and EKGs, under supervision.
- Manage inventory of medical supplies and order stock as needed to ensure facility readiness.
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding pre- and post-procedure instructions.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent experience.
- Current certification as a CMA (Certified Medical Assistant) or RMA (Registered Medical Assistant) is preferred.
- CPR/BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
- 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or clinic setting is highly desirable.
- Strong computer proficiency with EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient confidentiality.
