Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration rate, and temperature.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and ambulation using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment in accordance with infection control protocols.
- Communicate changes in patient condition or concerns to the charge nurse and nursing staff immediately.
- Assist with meal service and ensure patients are properly hydrated and nourished.
- Document patient care activities accurately and timely in electronic health records (EHR).
Qualifications
- Current and active State of Florida Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Certification (CNA 1) required.
- Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work weekends and holidays as required by the schedule.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, and lift patients for extended periods.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
- Previous experience in a long-term care, hospital, or home health setting is preferred.
