Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming assistance.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse rates.
- Assist patients with mobility, including transferring them from beds to wheelchairs and walking.
- Document patient care activities and any changes in patient condition accurately.
- Communicate effectively with nurses, physicians, and families regarding patient status.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment at all times.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the nursing staff under supervision.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required by the state of California.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift patients safely.
- Compassionate demeanor with a strong commitment to patient dignity.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
