Responsibilities
- Patient Assessment: Conduct thorough patient assessments and monitor health progress, documenting all observations and care plans accurately.
- Clinical Care: Administer medications and treatments in strict accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Collaboration: Work closely with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare team members to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
- Emergency Response: Respond swiftly to medical emergencies and critical situations within the unit.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and their families on post-discharge care, disease management, and preventative health strategies.
- Documentation: Maintain precise electronic health records (EHR) and ensure compliance with all regulatory standards.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in the state of Nebraska.
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience, preferably in a hospital or cardiac setting.
- Skills: Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and time management abilities.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with diverse patient populations.
- Technology: Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
