Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming assistance (ADLs).
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, accurately and in a timely manner.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and ambulation using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
- Communicate patient status changes and care needs to the Registered Nurse (RN) or Charge Nurse immediately.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment in accordance with infection control protocols.
- Document all patient interactions and care provided in electronic health records (EHR).
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Oklahoma.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification required.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience in a hospital, nursing home, or home health setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with patients and families.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift patients as needed.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
