Responsibilities
- Patient Care & Hygiene: Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting in a respectful and dignified manner.
- Vital Monitoring: Accurately measure and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates.
- Medication Assistance: Support patients with medication reminders and documentation as directed by licensed nursing staff.
- Communication: Effectively communicate patient status, concerns, and changes in condition to the RN and charge nurse.
- Assistance with Mobility: Safely transfer and assist patients with mobility aids, wheelchairs, and walkers.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and care logs.
Qualifications
- Certification: Active, unencumbered Washington State CNA license required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a hospital or long-term care setting preferred.
- CPR Certification: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or Red Cross.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on patient advocacy.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs for extended periods.
- Reliability: Proven track record of punctuality and dependability.
