Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake, accurately recording medical history and vitals.
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist physicians during procedures.
- Perform in-office testing, including EKGs, spirometry, and phlebotomy.
- Manage Electronic Health Records (EHR) and maintain strict HIPAA compliance.
- Provide exceptional customer service and patient education.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling and insurance verification.
- Ensure the examination room is clean, stocked, and sanitized.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or CNA) required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience preferred but open to qualified new graduates.
- Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) software.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
