Responsibilities
- Deliver patient-centered care using evidence-based practices and clinical judgment
- Administer medications, treatments, and therapeutic interventions per physician orders
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in electronic health records
- Maintain patient safety standards and infection control protocols
- Provide education to patients and families regarding health conditions and self-care
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and process enhancement projects
- Mentor new nursing staff and contribute to team development
Qualifications
- Active RN license in the state of Kentucky
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN preferred)
- Minimum 2 years of acute care nursing experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems
- Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays
