Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates accurately.
- Provide basic nursing care under the supervision of registered nurses and licensed practical nurses.
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and positioning to prevent patient injury.
- Communicate patient status and changes in condition to the nursing staff immediately.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and assist patients with feeding.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment in accordance with hospital hygiene standards.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Texas State CNA License.
- CPR/BLS Certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting preferred but not required for exceptional candidates.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs for extended periods.
- Compassionate demeanor with a strong patient-first attitude.
