Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and accurately record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and positioning to ensure safety and prevent falls.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, nurses, and physicians to ensure holistic care.
- Maintain a clean, sanitized, and safe patient environment in accordance with hospital protocols.
- Document patient care plans, incidents, and changes in condition accurately in electronic health records (EHR).
- Respond promptly to patient calls and assist with emergency situations as directed by nursing staff.
Qualifications
- Current and valid State Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
- Previous experience in a hospital or acute care setting is preferred but not required for exceptional candidates.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Physical stamina to lift, stand, and move patients for extended periods.
- Compassionate, patient-centered attitude with a focus on patient dignity and respect.
