Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate personal care assistance including bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding
- Monitor and document vital signs, fluid intake/output, and resident conditions
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and positioning using proper safety techniques
- Administer medications under RN supervision and maintain accurate medication records
- Collaborate with healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Respond promptly to resident call lights and emergency situations
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized resident environment
Qualifications
- Active Texas CNA certification in good standing
- Minimum 1 year of recent long-term care or assisted living experience
- Current CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain
- Ability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Compassionate approach with commitment to resident dignity
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical care tasks
- Basic computer skills for documentation systems
