Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and feeding assistance as needed.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, reporting any abnormalities to the nursing staff.
- Assist patients with mobility issues, including transferring them from beds to wheelchairs or using walkers.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in patient electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure continuity of care.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and sanitized environment for all patients.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Missouri.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Previous experience in a healthcare or long-term care setting is preferred but not always required for the right candidate.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks, such as lifting and moving patients.
- Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others.
