Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, and grooming, ensuring dignity and comfort.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, reporting any abnormalities immediately.
- Provide basic nursing care, such as changing bed linens and assisting with mobility or transfers using proper body mechanics.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to update care plans.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment for patients and staff.
- Document patient care activities accurately and in a timely manner.
Qualifications
- Active and unencumbered Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Indiana.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in a hospital or clinical setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs safely.
