Responsibilities
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, throughout the shift.
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and toileting with dignity and respect.
- Administer medication and treatments as directed by the Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary care team and report any changes in patient condition immediately.
- Foster a safe, clean, and healing environment for all residents and patients.
- Perform light housekeeping duties related to patient care to ensure a sanitary environment.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Georgia CNA License.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association required.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a hospital or long-term care setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centered approach.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently during the night shift.
- Physical stamina to perform duties such as lifting and assisting patients.
- Reliable transportation and availability for night shifts.
