Responsibilities
- Monitor patient health and well-being throughout the night shift, identifying any changes in condition immediately.
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, and toileting as required.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and nursing protocols.
- Record vital signs, intake and output, and patient observations accurately in electronic health records (EHR).
- Communicate effectively with the nursing team and patients' families regarding patient status and care plans.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment.
Qualifications
- Active and current California CNA License.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- Previous experience in a hospital, long-term care, or home health setting is preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently during the night shift.
- Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help patients.
- Reliable transportation and willingness to commute to the San Diego area.
