Responsibilities
- Perform routine vital signs, patient intakes, and prepare patients for examinations in a professional manner.
- Assist physicians and nursing staff during clinical procedures and examinations.
- Manage patient medical records and ensure strict adherence to HIPAA compliance and privacy regulations.
- Administer injections, immunizations, and perform basic phlebotomy as required.
- Coordinate with insurance providers to verify patient benefits and handle billing inquiries.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sterile examination environment.
- Communicate effectively with patients to explain procedures and answer questions.
Qualifications
- Current CMA (Certified Medical Assistant) or RMA (Registered Medical Assistant) certification required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a medical office or outpatient setting.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient care.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems is a plus.
