Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and accurately record patient vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist with personal hygiene, toileting, and incontinence care with dignity and respect.
- Communicate effectively with the nursing staff, physicians, and patients' families regarding patient status and changes in condition.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and nutritional requirements.
- Assist with moving and positioning patients safely using proper body mechanics and transfer equipment.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment, including documentation of care provided.
Qualifications
- Current Virginia CNA Certification and active state registration.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers (American Heart Association).
- Must be available to work weekends, including Saturday and Sunday.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume medical environment.
- Physical stamina to perform standing, walking, lifting, and assisting patients as needed.
