Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, compassionate patient care and monitor vital signs and patient conditions throughout the night shift.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team, including physicians, nurses, and support staff, to ensure seamless patient transitions.
- Document patient care activities accurately and in a timely manner within the electronic health record system.
- Respond promptly to emergency situations and initiate appropriate interventions to stabilize patient conditions.
- Educate patients and families on post-discharge care and disease management strategies.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Kentucky.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of nursing experience, preferably in a hospital or acute care setting.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 pounds as needed during patient care.
- Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
