Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense prescription medications while adhering to HIPAA and state board regulations
- Manage inventory control, including ordering, receiving, and stock rotation
- Process insurance claims and assist with third-party billing
- Provide exceptional patient counseling on medication usage and side effects
- Maintain sterile compounding areas following USP <797> standards
- Utilize pharmacy software for prescription processing and record-keeping
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient outcomes
Qualifications
- Active Kansas Pharmacy Technician certification
- Minimum 1 year retail/hospital pharmacy experience
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software (e.g., QS/1, Omnicell)
- Strong mathematical skills for dosage calculations
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
- Successful completion of background check and drug screen
