Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense medications and compound sterile preparations under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory control and order pharmaceutical supplies to prevent shortages
- Process insurance claims and maintain precise patient medication records
- Provide exceptional customer service and medication counseling to patients
- Ensure compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations
- Utilize pharmacy software for prescription processing and inventory tracking
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes
Qualifications
- Active California Pharmacy Technician license required
- 1+ years of hospital or retail pharmacy experience preferred
- PTCB or ExCPT certification strongly preferred
- Proficiency in pharmacy management systems (e.g., QS1, Omnicell)
- Strong attention to detail and mathematical accuracy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume setting
- Basic knowledge of HIPAA and pharmacy law
