Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory control and pharmaceutical stock rotation
- Process insurance claims and maintain patient records
- Compound sterile preparations and IV medications
- Provide exceptional patient counseling and medication education
- Ensure strict compliance with DEA, FDA, and state pharmacy regulations
- Utilize pharmacy management software for dispensing operations
Qualifications
- Active Massachusetts Pharmacy Technician license
- PTCB certification preferred (required within 90 days)
- 1+ years retail/hospital pharmacy experience
- Proficiency in pharmacy dispensing systems
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments
- Basic IV preparation knowledge
