Responsibilities
- Accurately compound and dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory control, ordering, and medication reconciliation
- Provide exceptional patient counseling on medication usage and side effects
- Maintain HIPAA-compliant electronic health records and documentation
- Coordinate with insurance providers and third-party billing systems
- Train new technicians on pharmacy protocols and safety procedures
- Participate in quality assurance initiatives and regulatory compliance
Qualifications
- Active Oregon Pharmacy Technician certification required
- Minimum 1 year retail or hospital pharmacy experience
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software (e.g., QS1, Rx30)
- Strong knowledge of sterile compounding techniques
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Basic math and inventory management aptitude
- Valid Oregon driver's license for occasional deliveries
