Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms via phone, video, and in-person triage to determine urgency
- Collaborate with physicians to develop appropriate care plans
- Document patient encounters accurately in EHR systems
- Provide health education to patients and families
- Manage patient flow and coordinate with emergency services
- Maintain strict HIPAA compliance and confidentiality standards
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Current California RN license with active BLS/CPR certification
- Minimum 2 years acute care or emergency nursing experience
- Excellent triage assessment and critical thinking skills
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Proficiency with EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- Ability to work independently in high-pressure situations
- Spanish bilingual skills strongly preferred
- Flexible availability including evenings and weekends
