Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense prescription medications and verify patient information
- Manage inventory control, ordering, and stock rotation of pharmaceutical products
- Process insurance claims and maintain electronic health records
- Provide exceptional customer service and medication counseling to patients
- Assist pharmacists with compounding and sterile product preparation
- Maintain compliance with DEA, HIPAA, and state pharmacy regulations
- Utilize pharmacy software (e.g., QS1, Omnicell) for dispensing and documentation
Qualifications
- Active Arizona Pharmacy Technician certification (PTCB or ExCPT)
- Minimum 1 year retail or hospital pharmacy experience
- Strong knowledge of prescription medications and pharmaceutical terminology
- Proficiency in pharmacy management systems and Microsoft Office
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting
- Valid Arizona driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
- Pass background check and drug screening
