Key Responsibilities:
Responsibilities
- Prepare and package prescription medications according to physician orders and state regulations.
- Verify patient information and insurance details for accuracy before dispensing.
- Manage inventory levels, including receiving, stocking, and ordering pharmaceutical supplies.
- Assist pharmacists with compounding and special medication orders.
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions regarding medications and dosages.
- Process insurance claims and handle cash transactions at the register.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (PTCB or ExCPT) required.
- Current state license to practice as a Pharmacy Technician in Wisconsin.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Proficiency with pharmacy management software is a plus.
