Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare and dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Maintain precise patient records and inventory management systems
- Process insurance claims and manage third-party billing
- Provide exceptional patient counseling on medication usage and side effects
- Ensure strict compliance with DEA, HIPAA, and state pharmacy regulations
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize medication therapy
Qualifications
- Active PTCB or ExCPT certification required
- Minimum 1 year retail/hospital pharmacy experience
- PA Pharmacy Technician license in good standing
- Proficient in pharmacy software (e.g., QS1, Omnicell)
- Strong attention to detail and mathematical accuracy
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift 25 lbs
