Responsibilities
- Dispensing Accuracy: Prepare and package prescription medications under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist, ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols.
- Customer Service: Interact with patients to answer questions, provide medication counseling, and resolve inquiries with empathy and professionalism.
- Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, place orders for pharmaceutical supplies, and maintain accurate inventory records to prevent stockouts.
- Insurance Processing: Verify patient insurance coverage and process claim submissions accurately to ensure timely reimbursement.
- Regulatory Compliance: Adhere to state and federal pharmacy laws, including HIPAA regulations, to maintain patient privacy and safety.
- Documentation: Maintain precise patient records and prescription histories using our Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current RPhT (Registered Pharmacy Technician) certification in Oregon required.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; completion of an accredited Pharmacy Technician program is preferred.
- Experience: 1-2 years of experience in a retail or hospital pharmacy setting preferred.
- Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and pharmacy management software (e.g., Epic, Cerner).
- Attributes: Strong attention to detail, excellent time management skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Licensure: Must possess a valid, unencumbered Pharmacy Technician license in the state of Oregon.
