Responsibilities
- Receive and prepare prescription medications according to physician orders.
- Verify patient information and insurance details to ensure accuracy.
- Assist pharmacists in the compounding and dispensing of pharmaceuticals.
- Manage inventory levels, including receiving deliveries and stocking shelves.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients at the pharmacy counter and over the phone.
- Operate pharmacy management software systems (e.g., Rx30, Epic).
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workspace.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (PTCB or ExCPT) required.
- Current California State Board of Pharmacy license.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology and dosage forms.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Proficient with computer systems and electronic health records.
