As a Phlebotomy Tech, you will play a critical role in the diagnostic process by collecting blood samples accurately and efficiently. We are looking for compassionate professionals who are committed to excellence and patient safety.
Responsibilities
- Perform venipunctures and capillary blood draws on patients of all ages with precision and minimal discomfort.
- Label, log, and prepare blood samples for laboratory analysis according to strict protocols.
- Ensure all equipment, including phlebotomy tubes and needles, is properly stocked and sterilized (we provide the equipment).
- Interact professionally with patients to explain procedures, alleviate anxiety, and ensure comfort.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with nurses and lab technicians to ensure timely specimen processing.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) or completion of an accredited phlebotomy training program.
- Current state licensure or registration as required in Arizona.
- CPR/BLS certification (Basic Life Support) from the American Heart Association.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent manual dexterity.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Previous experience in a clinical or medical setting is preferred but not always required.
