Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms via phone and triage calls using established protocols
- Provide clinical guidance and prioritize care based on urgency
- Collaborate with physicians and care teams to ensure seamless patient flow
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and documentation
- Delicate crisis intervention for emergency situations
- Coordinate with specialty departments for patient referrals
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Illinois (IL RN)
- Minimum 3 years ER or urgent care experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Exceptional communication and critical thinking skills
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- Ability to work independently under pressure
- BSN degree preferred
