Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms by sterilizing equipment and arranging surgical instruments
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and maintaining sterile fields
- Manage surgical supplies inventory and ensure proper sterilization protocols
- Document procedural details accurately in electronic health records
- Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure seamless patient care
- Maintain compliance with OSHA and safety regulations
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Minimum 2 years of operating room experience
- Knowledge of sterile processing and surgical instrumentation
- Ability to work in high-pressure environments
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- BLS certification required
- Experience with laparoscopic and robotic surgery preferred
