Responsibilities
- Perform rapid patient assessments using ESI (Emergency Severity Index) protocols
- Coordinate with physicians, specialists, and ancillary staff for critical patient flow
- Train and mentor junior triage staff on best practices and emergency protocols
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) with 99% documentation accuracy
- Lead crisis response during mass casualty incidents or surges
- Implement quality improvement initiatives for triage efficiency
- Collaborate with public health agencies for emergency preparedness
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Nebraska with minimum 5 years ER experience
- Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) or Triage Nurse Certification (TNCC)
- ACLS, PALS, and BLS certifications required
- Proven leadership experience in high-volume emergency settings
- Expertise in EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- Strong decision-making skills under pressure
- Master's degree in Nursing or Emergency Management preferred
