Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in acute care settings including ICU, ER, and Med-Surg units
- Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and document electronic health records accurately
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Educate patients and families on health conditions and discharge protocols
- Adhere to hospital policies, state regulations, and Joint Commission standards
- Participate in shift handoffs and maintain clear communication with healthcare team
- Respond efficiently to emergency situations with critical thinking skills
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Texas or compact state
- Minimum 2 years of recent acute care experience
- BLS/ACLS certifications required; specialty certifications preferred
- Flexibility to adapt to new clinical environments and protocols
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts including weekends and holidays
- Travel nursing experience preferred but not required
- Pass background check and drug screening
