Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms and sterile fields for surgical procedures
- Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and supplies
- Maintain sterile environments and enforce infection control protocols
- Count and track surgical instruments and supplies before/during/after procedures
- Operate and troubleshoot surgical equipment (scopes, monitors, etc.)
- Transport patients and specimens within the surgical department
- Document procedural activities in electronic health records
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Completion of accredited surgical technology program
- BLS/CPR certification
- Minimum 1 year OR experience preferred
- Knowledge of sterile processing and instrumentation
- Ability to thrive in high-pressure surgical environments
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts and weekends
