Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms, instruments, and sterile supplies for surgical procedures
- Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments, sutures, and sterile supplies
- Maintain sterile fields and enforce aseptic techniques throughout procedures
- Count and document surgical instruments, sponges, and equipment before/after surgery
- Prepare and transport specimens for laboratory analysis
- Operate sterilization equipment and maintain instrument inventory
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent certification
- 2+ years of recent operating room experience
- Knowledge of sterile processing protocols and OSHA regulations
- Ability to work in high-pressure, fast-paced environments
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
- Current BLS certification
