Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms with sterile equipment and instruments according to surgical protocols
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and maintaining sterile fields
- Handle surgical specimens for proper laboratory processing
- Manage inventory of surgical supplies and restock operating rooms
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and Joint Commission standards
- Collaborate with nurses and anesthesiologists for seamless patient care
- Perform equipment sterilization and maintenance
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Minimum 2 years recent OR experience preferred
- BLS/CPR certification and current state license
- Expertise in general surgery, orthopedics, and specialty procedures
- Exceptional attention to detail and sterile technique
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced surgical environments
- Background check and drug screen required
